ARTISAN RESIDENCE
The BCC Studios are centrally located approximately halfway between the main train station and Bournemouth’s famous beaches. The building is comprised entirely of self-contained studios and residents include university students, language students and short- term visitors to the town.
Bournemouth City College
Exit the Residence onto Bath Road and turn left.
Walk about 10 meters to reach Lansdowne Roundabout.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Old Christchurch Road.
Walk straight along Old Christchurch Road for about 0.5 km (5–7 minutes).
Bournemouth City College will be on your left at 44–50 Old Christchurch Rd.
Yes. The whole BCC Residence has free internet wireless connection. Students are advised to bring their own lap-tops or computers as these are not provided by BCC. Each student will receive a wi-fi access password on arrival.
Each student will receive BCC Terms & Conditions together with a Student Guide. Visitors can stay with students in the BCC Residence during the day time. Overnight stay is prohibited. Visitors or guests may stay overnight after this is agreed with the Accommodation Manager. An additional charge will apply for guests.
If students need accommodation for parents or relatives, there are a few other residences available from BCC, please speak to the Accommodation Manager and he will help you to arrange it.
BCC can arrange the transport from and to the any airport in UK. Please select and specify this option in your application form. Additional charge will apply for this service (Please visit our price list).
Firstly, there are taxi services available at the station. Secondly, there are frequent buses that run to Bournemouth Town centre. There are two main bus companies operating in the Bournemouth area: Yellow buses (yellow colour) and Wilts and Dorset Buses (red & blue colours). All buses to Bournemouth Town centre leave from Stand 6. Or you can just walk from the Coach / Train station, direction to Bournemouth Town centre. BCC is approximately 20 minutes away.
There are local buses A1 (Yellow Buses company) which provide transport from the airport to the Bournemouth town centre.You can find more information about time tables and routes at: www.yellowbuses.co.uk. If you need to pick up from the airport, BCC can arrange the transport to and from any airport in the UK.Please select and specify this option in your application form.
